Many years ago Buckstar started his musical ventures, but he only recently started releasing his work. He was born in Delft, The Netherlands back in 1985, but he’s got Surinamese roots. His parents have always been into many different types of music and seeing them enjoy music, is where his love for music was born. He release his first song (Ivy) back in 2021, which was followed by a few collabs and some solo projects. A little further in this EPK you will find a playlist with some tunes and Buckstar’s discography is added as well. He had the pleasure of working with local artists like Siegnel Ryan, Beatsbybi, Amantiyouthz and Don Genna. Recently he’s been working on international projects alongside ASH, Da Nillo and Skizzynoise.

He draws inspiration from a variety of artists like Ninjaman, Bounty Killer, Herman van Veen and Stromae – to name a few. He surely doesn’t limit himself to just one genre of music. He enjoys exploring any and all possibilities when it comes to making music.

Due to being influenced by so many different types of music, it’s hard to label Buckstar’s style. Let’s say it’s a very happy marriage between everything he loves mixed in with a whole lotta dancehall and afro beat.
